Diving in USTICA, Sicily with Orca Diving
Captain Jack Cousteau said that Ustica was the « Black Pearl » of the Mediterranean sea.We checked this Summer 1920, Sicily is beautiful and the volcanic lands give an incredible clarity of water, sometimes with more than 40m of visibility.
Ustica, a volcanic island 67 km north-west of Palermo, 8.65 km2, is also a Marine Protected Area, paradise for divers with among others the Azzurra Grotta, Grotta della Pastizza, Medico Rocks and Sec della Colombara.
All dives are organized by ORCA DIVING, a really professional center to help us in the preparation of our equipment with guides who know their environment perfectly. We sneak into canyons and caves, in the middle of the posidonia fields and an untouched and multicoloured fauna as we dreamed of.
From Palermo to Ustica, then to Siracusa and Cefalù, a beautiful island program to discover the natural wonders of Sicily…
